I. Graduating to Excellence
A. We will support the successful placement of our students into challenging post high school opportunities.
1. We will support the successful placement of our students into college and other post high school educational opportunities.
2. We will support the successful placement of “first generation,” minority and disadvantaged students into college and other post high school educational opportunities.
3. We will support the successful placement of students into post secondary programs of distinction.
4. We will graduate our students ready for employment.
B. We will support the successful placement of our students into courses that prepare them for graduation to excellence
1. We will support the placement of high school students into rigorous courses, including at least four years of English, three or four years of Math, three years of social studies, two years of foreign language, three years of science, and one year of arts.
2. We will support the placement of high school students into advanced placement and other advanced courses.
3. We will assure a high rate of success in advanced placement and other advanced courses.
4. We will attract “first generation,” minority and disadvantaged students into advanced courses and prepare them for success in these courses.
5. We will assure that all students have the appropriate supportive services so that all can access college or other appropriate post-secondary education.
a. We will assure that students have appropriate supportive services so that they can find ways to make college affordable.
b. We will assure that parents are aware of and involved in our college access programs.
C. We will collect reliable data on these objectives. We will develop objective standards that measure our progress towards success.
