About Lincoln Elementary

All District 742 schools, including Lincoln Elementary base their teaching on learner needs and outcomes within each subject area. Our teaching follows the developmentally appropriate model developed by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. This includes:

• Keeping our class sizes as low as possible
• Active learning, with much learning occurring through projects,
  learning centers and playful activities
• Stimulating classroom environments, with opportunities for
  individual and group exploration of varied interests
