Physical Description
The tigers coat helps it blend in with the dark, shadows, and light of the grasslands. Tigers blend in with patches of grass. The stripes help it blend in with its sorroundings. Tigers can weigh more than 600 lbs and be more than 12 feet long. Tigers are recognized by their black, orange, and white stripes. Their front paws are strong and large to bring down prey. Every tiger has its own stripe pattern. Female tigers are always smaller than males. Siberian tigers are always bigger than Bengal tigers. Tigers can live up to 15-20 years in the wild and 26 years in a zoo. Tigers blend in so they can get closer to their prey.
Habitat
Siberian tigers live in a tropical rain forest. They are found where there are trees, swamps, and dried up forest areas. Tigers like to live in rock caves. There is also grass, rock, and dirt where they live. They also live near the savanna. Siberian tigers can also live in rock country.
Eating
Siberian tigers will eat large animals like elephants or rhinoceros. They also eat smaller animals like crabs, fish, frogs, wild pigs, deer, and bears. Tigers mostly eat deer and wild pigs. Tigers kill their prey by biting it on the neck. Siberian tigers drag their prey to where they want to eat it. When they are done eating, they go to sleep. Tigers enter a stream or river to cool off or to chase prey.
