Description
Deer have long legs that help them run fast. A male deer's antlers grow on its head. Female deer have baby deers that are called fawns. They are usually born in April or May.
Habitat
Deer live in many places and live in the woodlands. They look for food at dusk or dawn.They eat leaves, twigs, grass, and bark. They need three things to survive-food,water, and places to hide. They eat acorns that fall from oak trees.

Deer are mammals with hoved feet. They shed their antlers every winter and grow them back every sping. Deer often stand still when they sense danger. Deer run fast to get away from danger. A female deer is called a doe. At first the antlers are soft. Many deer die every year.
