Description 

The bald eagles head is very big.  It has white feathers on its tail and on its head.  The bald eagle is one of the biggest hunting birds in the world. 

The bald eagle lives only in North America.  The bald eagles build their nests on the tops of high trees and cliffs near water.  They eat fish and other small creatures. 

Interesting Facts

The eaglets come out of their eggs with their eyes open.  The eaglets are very weak and helpless when they come out of their eggs.  Bald eagles are no longer endangered.  They were taken off the endangered list in the summer of 2007. It is illegal to hunt or hurt the eagles.
