Description

Squirrels are rodents with long bushy tails.  Thay have sharp claws.  Squirrels have red, brown, gray, black or white fur.

Habitat

Many squirrels live in woodlands that are covered with trees and shrubs. Squirrels build nests in trees.  They often look for food during the day and sleep at night.

Interesting Facts

Many squirrels climb trees.  Squirrels use their tails to balance.  Some squirrels glide between trees. and look like they are flying. These squirrels are called flying squirrels.  Squirrels eat nuts, seeds, plants and insects.  They put food in their cheek pouches.
