Description

Owls have black, brown and grey feathers. They have flat faces.  Some owls make nests in trees. They have sharp curved beaks.  They have big eyes that help them see well at night.  They sleep during the day.

Habitat

Owls live almost every where in the world.  Owls catch their food with their sharp claws.  They live in the United States and Canada.  Some owls live in trees and burrows under the ground.

 

Interesting Facts

Sometimes owls eat their food whole.  There are eighteen different kinds of owls in the United States.  They live in every continent except Antarctica.  They can turn their head around farther than other birds.
