Track and Field Gear

Great Deals avaliable for Tech Track and Field Athletes at the Endurunce Shop.  30% off on all shoes and clothing.

Boys must have a pair of well fitting plain black shorts.  Not too baggy and no stripes or designs.  An understated trademark is okay.

Distance Runners 800 - 3200 need:

  • A quality pair of well fitting training shoes. Distance spikes are also nice for racing, but not necessary.  A good pair of distance spikes should last about 4 seasons.

NOTE: Most track spikes come with a spike wrench and 1/4 in spikes.  1/4 are the standard spike size for the Central Lakes Conference so you do not have to buy spikes separately.

  • Clothes for running outside.  We will run outside even when it is cool. *A stocking cap, *light weight gloves or mittens, * running tights, *lightweight running top to wick away moisture.
  • High quality socks,  with cool max or neoprene to prevent blisters.
  • A wrist watch with a digital timer.  Does not need to be fancy. Just something to keep track of minutes and seconds

Sprinters: This includes jumpers and hurdlers

  • A quality pair of well fitting training shoes.
  • Racing spikes 100-400 meter sprinters spikes, very light weight almost no cushioning in the heel.
  • Durable recognizable water bottle track workouts, marked with name
  • Small light weight duffel for spikes and miscellaneous items, marked with name
  • A skull cap is not necessary but nice on cool days.
  • A pair of tights is not required but nice as well.
  • Several pairs of socks to prevent  blisters.

Throwers: Discuss and Shot putters

  • Throw Shoes available at Scheels feature smooth edges for speed and turning ease.
  • Supportive well fitting adjustable clothes for going from inside to outside a lot.  For more details ask David Kaczor
