Health Care for StudentsNursing Services manages the health needs of students at 35 public and non-public schools within District 742. Seven licensed school nurses provide an array of services including: - vision screening in grades one, three and five - hearing screening in grades one and three - scoliosis screening to fifth- and seventh-grade girls - scoliosis screening to eighth-grade boys - medication management - development/implementation of health care plans - first-aid and illness management Day to day duties are delegated to 10 health service associates and six health associates. Nursing Services is a program of Student Services/Special Education. Nursing Services works in the following non-public schools:
