Communications & Marketing

In an ever-increasingly competitive education environment, it is imperative that we communicate to prospective families and community members about who we are, what we offer and the impact that our schools have on the community.  This is our brand. If parents are not aware of the many options and opportunities that their children have with our schools, why would they choose to send their children here? If residents are not aware of the positive impact our schools, students and staff are having within the community, how will they know to support us?

Consistent and frequent communications and marketing that highlight the value of our schools can help to build a sense of pride among students, staff and community. This is how we impact perceptions and help to establish the brand that we want to exist. In an environment with so many choices, our brand is what will guide prospective family and community decisions and ultimately determine whether they say ‘yes’ to District 742.

We will accomplish this through

Highlighting news and events throughout our schools

Producing high quality promotional and communication materials

Creating brand familiarity for our audience by utilizing a consistent logo, tag-line, look and feel within our communications that are set forth by our District Branding Criteria.

Appreciating cultural differences to ensure that everyone feels engaged, connected and informed.

Utilizing multiple communication methods such as mail, phone, website, television, newspaper, radio and social media to connect to our intended audiences.

Coordinating marketing efforts throughout the district to eliminate ‘silo’ operations and create a more unified approach.
