Quality Compensation for Teachers (Q Comp), a collaboration between
teachers, school officials and the State of Minnesota is expected
to improve teaching skills, reward superior teaching and raise student
achievement in District 742 in the 2005-06 and 2006-07 school years.
The first $2.5 million of an anticipated $5 million in Q Comp funding
was announced by Gov. Tim Pawlenty at a Oct. 28, 2005 press conference
at Apollo High School.
