| District Technical Services (DTS) manages an information
technology infrastructure that connects more than 25 buildings in
Stearns, Benton, and Sherburne counties. To serve more than 9,400
students and 1,700 employees, our technical staff manages a vast
array of software, hardware, security gear, communications systems
and networking equipment within each building.
DTS is responsible for District 742's information technology infrastructure,
including the following:
- wide area network interconnecting all schools and offices
- local area networks in our schools and
support services buildings
- telephone and voice mail systems
- e-mail messaging systems
- the isd742.org, isd742.net, and other
web servers
- AV systems, including two ITV rooms and cable Channel 6 automated
broadcast equipment
- computers, monitors, printers and scanners
- building security systems and surveillance equipment
- building intercom systems
- overheads, projectors, and other equipment
DTS also processes orders for computers, computer peripherals,
software and audio-visual materials and equipment. To order computers,
printers, scanners, AV equipment such as TVs or overhead projectors, or other
