Al Dahlgren, a St. Joseph resident, is a 1977 graduate of Mounds View Public Schools in Arden Hills, Minnesota. He went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota with a bachelors degree in agricultural business management. After graduation he went into management training with the JCPenney company and spent 20 years working in store management with JCPenney. In 1993 Dahlgren successfully opened a Once Upon a Child retail store in St. Cloud MN. Beginning in 1998, for 15 years, he also worked for Winmark Corporation in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a retail franchise field operations manager and regional manager. Now he dedicates 100% of his time to his Once Upon a Child retail store and to the St. Cloud School District.
Dahlgren has four children, all who have attended St. Cloud Area School District schools. His interest in public education comes from a desire to see that all children get the opportunity for a quality education so they can live and work successfully in today's competitive world.

Bruce Hentges is a lifelong resident of District 742. He grew up in Clear Lake and attended District 742 schools. He has a BA in Social Science from St. John’s University. He also received his Master's Degree as well as his 6th Year Certification in Educational Administration from St. Cloud State University.
Hentges spent 39 years with District 742. He has experience in this District as a social studies teacher for 17 years (at Tech, Apollo and South Junior High), head coach in football (13 years) and baseball (10 years) at Tech. He also served as Tech’s activities director and the District 742 activities director. He spent four years as the district transportation director and served as an assistant principal at Tech and Apollo for 15 years. He previously served on the District 742 school board from 2009-2012.
In addition to his District 742 experience, he has been on the Local Education & Activities Foundation (LEAF) Board since LEAF began in 1993 and currently serves as executive director.
Hentges was selected by former students for the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers recognition in 1993 and 1994. He was awarded the Leadership in Educational Excellence Award from Resource Training & Solutions in 2005, the Optimist Friend of Education Award in 2006 and the St. John’s University Alumni Achievement Award in 2007.
His goals are to work hard to continue a quality Comprehensive Educational Program in District 742 that includes:

Bruce Mohs is a retired public school educator who brings a broad background of educational experience and perspective to the District 742 Board of Education. His professional background includes classroom teaching, athletic coaching, student advising, building administration, program supervision, and international education. His work experience included duties and responsibilities at the junior high, senior high, technical college, and university levels.
During his 32 year professional career in the West Allis - West Milwaukee School District in southeastern Wisconsin, Mohs taught high school biology, coached boys and girls athletics, advised student organizations, and was a substitute building administrator before his retirement in June of 2000. In addition, he worked ten years part-time for Milwaukee Area Technical College as an Adult Education program supervisor and Weekend College program coordinator. He also has international teaching experience as an adjunct faculty ESL instructor at the University of Guam (2001-2002), and ESL summer language camp teacher at Liaoning University and Beijing Normal University in the People's Republic of China (1985).
Mohs was born and raised in St. Cloud, and was educated in the public schools of District 742. He attended Jefferson Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Garfield Elementary, Central Junior High School, and Technical High School. He graduated from St. Cloud Tech (1962) where he lettered in hockey, participated in music, theater and student government, and was a member of the National Honor Society and the Junior Rotarians. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from St. Cloud State College (1968), a Master of Science Teaching Degree in Biology from the University of Arizona (1973), and a Master of Science Degree in Secondary School Administration & Supervision from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (1983).
As a member of the District 742 Board Of Education, Mohs has served as Vice-Chairman (2006), Chairman (2007) and Clerk (2010). Mohs has also served as chair of the Board Development Committee (2006) and chair of the Community Linkages Committee (2005, 2008-2010). Additionally, he's been a member of the Finance and Audit Committee, the Legislative Committee, the Integration and Equity Committee, the District Facilities Committee, the Community Education Advisory Council, the Student Activities Advisory Committee, the Curriculum Communications Council, the Community Finance Study Group, and the Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee. He's also served as a member of the board's contract negotiating team and as a board liaison to Tech, Apollo, NJHS, Lincoln, Talahi, and Riverwoods schools. At the state level, Mohs has served on the executive board of Schools for Equity in Education (SEE), and has been selected to serve as a Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) Ambassador Speaker. In 2008, Mohs received the MSBA Director's Award for having completed 100 hours of professional development training.
In addition to his duties and responsibilities as a member of the District 742 Board of Education, Mohs has been involved in a number of community organizations and activities including the St. Cloud Tech High School Alumni Association, East Side Boosters, St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce, Great River Interfaith Partnership (GRIP), Salem Lutheran Church, Mississippi River Connections, CAN-AM Police and Fire Games, SCSU Earth Day Run, St. Cloud Park Community Gardens, and the Millstream Arts Festival.

Jeff Pollreis, a St. Cloud resident, is a 1978 graduate of Apollo High School. After graduating he went into the US Air Force for four years as a Security Specialist. He spent two of those years in Germany and two years in Minot, North Dakota. When his service time was done in 1982 he followed his retiring parents to Florida. He attended Pinellas County Technical School's Firefighter program graduating in 1983. After firefighting school he went on to attend St. Petersburg Junior College's Emergency Medical Technician's Program graduating in 1984. After working several years he realized he missed the four seasons, his friends and the rest of his 13 siblings who did not move to Florida so he decided to move back to St. Cloud.
In 1987 he married his best friend Lisa Klaverkamp and together they have 3 beautiful children who attended both St. Cloud & Swanville Public schools.
He was hired by the Stearns County Sheriff's Department in May 1987 and stills works in the Jail Division.
He was taught by his wonderful parents Robert & Betty Pollreis to always help others and those less fortunate. He will work to give each and every child a chance to learn and achieve their dreams.

Monica M. Segura-Schwartz grew up in Colombia, South America where she completed a bachelors in Electrical Engineering and worked on it for 4 years. In 2001, Monica traveled to St Cloud, MN and completed a Masters in Social Responsibility from St. Cloud State University. St. Cloud became her permanent home after marrying a St. Cloud MN native. Monica grew up in a loving family where education was not only a stepping stone but a highly regarded value.
My mother would always say, “You may lose all of your belongings but no one can ever take what you carry in your head, what you have learned.”
Monica is highly involved in our community through several initiatives and committees and her church in Waite Park. She is a board member for Perseverancia, GREAT Theatre and Minnesota Latinos Affairs Council MCLA. She is passionate about education, arts and culture, community development and leadership opportunities and racial and cultural integration.
She enjoys and love kids and recognize that when we invest in our children we are investing in our future. As Native Americans say: “All what we do today will be for seven generations forward.”

Jerry Von Korff graduated with honors in economics from Oberlin College, Oberlin, Ohio. He attended Georgetown University Law Center, Washington D.C., where he was the law review editor. Jerry also has a master of arts in teaching and taught high school for five years. He has been an attorney for 28 years, concentrating in governmental advice and litigation, with seven years of business management experience hiring, budgeting and supervising. He has been a partner with the Rinke-Noonan law firm since 1984.
Jerry served as president of the St. Cloud Symphony, chair of the District 742 Curriculum Advisory Committee, chair of the Minnesota Bar Association Fee Mediation Committee, chair of the St. Cloud Chamber of Commerce Education Division, chair of the District 742 Talent Development Committee, chair of the Minnesota Department of Education's Challenge Task Force, and chair of the District 742 Elementary Science Task Force. He also is a past board member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals. He has volunteered as a teacher and tutor in District 742 for more than 20 years. He started the Upward Bound program at Trinity College, Washington, D.C.
Jerry and his wife, Connie, have three sons Joshua, Benjamin and Michael. All three attended District 742 schools. The Von Korffs volunteered at Lincoln, Jefferson and Talahi schools. Jerry taught arithmetic and mathematics and Connie taught reading and literature.
