What is Career and Technical Education?
Minnesota's Career and Technical Education Initiative is dedicated
to preparing all Minnesotans for tomorrow's careers, with a mission
of creating a seamless system of education and workforce preparation
for all learners, tied to the needs of a competitive marketplace.
Overall goals include:
- assisting Minnesotans in becoming responsible citizens, involved
in community service
- helping them become economic players able to earn a livable
wage
- teaching them to be lifelong learners who take advantage of
learning opportunities that match personal growth and career needs
Great River Perkins Consortium
Register for College and Career Camp
The College and Career Camp is designed to help students explore different careers, learn about college and participate in fun activities. The four session camp is for students entering grades four through eight. Camp runs July 13 through 16 at the Minnesota School of Business. View the flyer for more information. Register for Health Career Service Academy
The Health Career Service Academy is for students in grades seven through 12 who are interested in pursuing a career in the health care industry. Register for Super Success Skills Seminar
The Super Success Skills Seminar is designed to help underrepresented students entering grades nine through 12 begin preparing for careers and college.
