Yes, we can use computers as typewriters. We can use them as file cabinets. We can use them as encyclopedias. We can even use them as a VERY expensive alternative to flashcards. If this is all we are doing with the computers in our schools, we are under-using their incredible power as a tool for teaching and learning. Worse yet, we are underestimating every child's potential to use them.
