International Day at Clearview

International students from St. Cloud State University came to Clearview on April 18th to meet with students and talk about their homelands. 10 different countries were represented. Each taught students through a variety of activities unique to their native country. Additional photos and information can be viewed by clicking to the gallery and timeline links near the bottom of this column.

New: More 4th Grade Projects

This time, students in Mrs. Tschida's and Mrs. Thelen's classes completed a study of "Deserts ". Students used Microsoft PowerPoint to combine poetry and digital images. They converted their finished files for easy Internet viewing using Adobe Flashpaper. Click on the teacher name to see the desert projects.

Spanish Immersion Podcasts
In an effort to assist parents of children in the Immersion Class, Profesora Martha has created a series of podcasts that model correct pronunciation of syllables as well as the Theme stories from the reading program. These podcasts can be heard by clicking on the Clearview Podcasts link under Hot Links at the right side of this page. The are also designed to be used on an iPod if you have one. Just click the iTunes link on the podcast page and you will be taken to the iTunes directory if you have iTunes installed. You can then download and/or subscribe to Clearview podcasts and they will automatically appear for you to sync to your iPod. Once there, you can learn Spanish on the go.
